Went to Oklahoma Joes with my family for my Birthday. I had never been here before and heard great things about it. Its like a lot of Bar B Q places ive been to in that you get in a line and order your food. By the time you get to the cash register your food is ready. You pay then take your tray of food to your picnic bench type seating. I would rather sit down and order but this is the way a lot of Bar B Q places operate. The food was killer. It is now my favorite Bar B Q place in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. They have 3 different types of sauce at the tables and all 3 were excellent. The baked beans were some of the best i have ever tasted. I ordered a full slab of baby backs and had to take 1/2 home. Everyone in my party was very happy with their meals. They even have unlimited soft drinks. I highly recommend this place for the food.

I'm a fan of OK Joe's BUT the last two times I've been in the food hasn't been very good. I hate to say this about one of my favorite BBQ places in Tulsa but it is true. I don't know if something has changed or if I've just been unlucky. The Q has been luke warm and did not taste fresh. The burnt ends were dry. This place is normally way to good to be just OK. I hope they get back on track soon.

I dream about this place when I leave my hometown area. I miss you Oklahoma Joes. My husband and I usually split the rib platter, and it is more than enough food. I highly recommend the fried okra. It is a full piece of okra, and it is very good. This is a self-serve place, and the food comes out fast. The managers are attentive to your needs. They clean the tables quickly and are always fully stocked with silverware, paper towels, and to-go boxes.

When a buddy of mine told that this was the best BBQ to be found in the area I thought he was telling a fish tale and said as much. Well the glove had been thrown so he insisted that we go and have dinner to prove his point and redeem his culinary honor. Well I have to say that I ate crow, not off the menu but the figurative kind. It was and is one of the better BBQ's you'll find in the area if not the best. The sliced brisket was tender and moist, the pulled pork was flavorful and not overly fatty. Just all around great BBQ! My buddy was vindicated and I got a free meal of fantastic BBQ so it was a win win for both!

Pros: I ate at an Oklahoma Joes in Kansas and wasn't impressed. Went to this location because my husband wanted some BBQ. This time around, I liked it. I got a fully loaded baker with hot links. They got my order right. Sauce was good. He got ribs and brisket. He's now calling this place the best in town. Cons: rib meat was odd? I liked that you could eat it with knife and fork. I didn't like the weird texture.

Ok I guess I have to give them two stars which is more than I thought they would earn considering their past chananagans. The BBQ was really good, however the chopped BBQ was poured out of a heated bag. The ketchup was soured and the meat on the brisket had a single layer of Texas toast fooling you into thinking you were getting more. I really would have given them a three star but as we were leaving the bus boy was refilling the sauces on the table and he dropped the lid on the floor and it plopped upside down and the young man picked it up and put it back a sauce dispenser. 27.00 for two is too high.

Let me start by saying I've gotten spoiled with BBQ...This was mediocre. I was excited when I saw they had corn on the cob and Bologna so I sampled both...they were good not great but good. I ordered the ribs without sauce and they didn't have much flavor. The potato salad was pretty good and the slaw was way too sweet, though billed as spicy for my taste. The place was packed...and reminded me of the Rib cage. Missing Off the Bone right now....

Since I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and have been living in Los Angeles since I started college, I consider myself to be pretty spoiled when it comes to food. I recently arrived in Tulsa for a 6-week long business trip. I knew that California's food would be hard to top, but I also knew that if there was one thing that Oklahoma would smoke (get it?) us at is the barbecue. I looked for a high rated place on Yelp, so I ended up at Oklahoma Joe's. I ordered the Grand Champion Platter...for myself. LOL. I have a huge appetite and I knew that I wanted to sample a lot of things, so I felt as if the Grand Champion Platter was the perfect fit for me. I was able to sample brisket, pulled pork, bologna, sausage, hot link, turkey, and ribs. You also get Texas toast and three sides - I chose beans, cole slaw, and sweet potato fries. Out of the meats, the ribs, sausage, and hot link were delicious! The meat fell off of the bone of the ribs. The sausage and hot link were so flavorful. The bologna and brisket were decent. The turkey was ridiculously dry, and I was not a fan of it. The pulled pork was too mushy for my taste. The BBQ sauces were amazing and helped the dryness of the meat. The side dishes were all very good - especially the beans. The sweet potato fries were absolutely delicious. Definitely don't forget to ask for some ranch dressing for the fries - soooo good. Also a plus - on Sundays, the Grand Champion Platter comes with 2 drinks. I guess the platter is meant for 2 people, but if you have a huge appetite like me, it is for one ;-). The service here is very good. Everyone is very friendly, the food comes out quickly. You literally pay at the register and walk a few feet down the counter and the food is ready within a few minutes. I would give Oklahoma Joe's 3.5 stars. +1.5 star for the ribs, sausage, and hot link. +1 for the sides. +1 for the great service and prices. The BBQ was overall pretty good, but it did not blow my mind. I think I hyped up Oklahoma BBQ a little too much in my mind, but I was a little underwhelmed. :-(. Maybe I haven't been to the BEST BBQ place yet?

Best BBQ ribs I've had in a long time! I didn't care too much for the brisket but my boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back for some more ribs. Their beans and potato salad was pretty good too. About the service: We were nicely greeted as soon as we got in. The food came out quickly and I like how they have the to go boxes and lids out for you to grab yourself if needed.

BBQ is just okay. Burnt Ends were really fatty and not really burnt. Okra was stringy. Sweet corn (on the cob) was excellent. I cut it off with a knife on to a plate and added butter, salt, and pepper. Would not go back again.

I live out of town now, and every time I go back to Tulsa, OK Joe's is on the list of must haves. Their ribs are my favorite, and a full rack can easily feed two. Their fried okra is also the best around; they fry the whole pod, not just chopped pieces. Their sides are great, and I think it's the best BBQ in town.

As a Missouri native, I am often skeptical of "best BBQ" claims when visiting other states. However, I found the food at Oklahoma Joe's to be pretty comparable to some of the BBQ we have in St. Louis. Theirs sauces were very good and the portions very generous!

  • Jeff K.

Best BBQ I've ever had! Burnt Ends were quite delish.... Bread pudding was on point! Staff was very pleasant and the girl who gives you you're food made the experience even better!

This place is beats any other BBQ joint in Tulsa that I've tried. Of course Burn Co is amazing, when you can get in there and actually eat. I rank this one the best due to the food of course, but also the amazing service and you they're open more than just a few hours a day like Burn Co. Get the burnt ends. I can't even describe them, just do it. Mouthgasm if I've ever had one!

The food is great! We love their pulled pork sandwiches and sweet potato fries. On a side note, my furbabies also like their smoked pigs ears. We always make sure to grab a few while checking out. They are a little pricy on their food but it's pretty stinking good!

This BBQ is so good! I've tried the burnt ends sandwich and the small "Okie" Joe sandwich. Both were really good. The burnt ends were in larger chunks than I normally like in BBQ (I'm a pulled or shredded fan, normally), and not very burnt, but they were meaty. The small Okie Joe is pulled pork and chopped brisket together, and it was good, but the pulled pork really overwhelmed the brisket. The fries are amazing. Normally at BBQ joints, when faced with the option of getting fries or another side, I always pick something else, but these fries must be sprinkled with magic because I want them over the beans and potato salad. They've always been hot and crispy, and when they're dipped in the house BBQ sauce, they're even more amazing. The beans and the potato salad are both good, although I prefer the fries. There's brisket in the beans which is a nice touch, but watch out, vegetarians/non-beef eaters. The brownie is decently sized and about the size of 1.5 decks of cards laid next to each other. There were Oreo-type cookies on top, so it was almost like a cookies-and-cream brownie! I thought it had a good texture - right in the middle of the cakey-fudgey scale. Size-wise, a regular sandwich diameter is about the size of a typical hamburger bun. The jumbo is about 1-2 inches larger in diameter. The service is friendly. On my first visit, a manager-type person personally took it upon himself to make recommendations to me and explain their more popular menu items. Afterwards, he checked up and asked how the food was. Also, they bus the tables for you. I made the mistake of walking around with my tray trying to find a trash can on my first visit. Oops.

This place was right near the huge Bass Pro Fishing shop and easy enough to get to. As soon as we stepped into this place we knew it was going to be good. Their bake potato was fantastic. It's so huge it filled my wife and I all the way up. There were a couple other people in my party and they had the slab of ribs. 3 people shared that and got full. That too was huge and tasty. They even have fried BBQ bologna. I didn't order it but I did get a glass bottle mountain dew which was fun.

The potato salad made with red potatoes, sour cream, and dill. It's very different but still very delicious. I like their chopped brisket. The BBQ sauce is pretty good too. Don't forget to try their spicy coleslaw.

We were in town for a wedding and got take out. The food was great and the conversation with the gentlemen at the counter was wonderful. We will absolutely stop by on our next visit!

Great option for quick, reasonably priced bbq when in Broken Arrow. Oklahoma Joe's is a fast-food type of bbq, where patrons order at the counter and pick food up at the front. If the line looks long, don't fret -- it moves very quickly. I ordered the lunch special for about $8 which includes a bbq turkey sandwich, bbq beans, and a drink. The bbq beans w/ bacon were delicious. The bbq turkey came out hot, which I summarily smothered in spicy bbq sauce on the table. We also sampled the fried okra, which is absolutely phenomenal -- (pretty sure there was a step change in my blood pressure after noshing on these delicious treats). There are also choices for dessert, but, I was obliged to pass, stuffed from the lunch special. Oklahoma Joe's is a very good option for informal bbq in Tulsa/BA.

The food was excellent as advertised . My only issue was that the staff did not interact with me at all , except when I placed my order at the counter . I feel that all food establishments should have a greeter at the door . This location did not have one . Also the manager on duty should be out on the floor asking if the meal was satisfactory . When I left not one word was said to me . This was my first time at OK Joe's , I am not sure I will be back .

Went in for a dinner a few weeks back, as my wife was in hospital at the Little Johns down the street. Wanted a dinner to go, was last in line. Little gal said you have to order over there ( 5ft. to my left). Due too the frustration over my wifes situation, that was like dealing with people at the hospital who don't want to do there job. So I told'em screw it, I'd go to another restaurant. I called the night manager, who say's, I told the employee she should have taken your order. Gee, you were standing right there, you could have made it right, right them. I had a catering order with them, of which I cancelled. Good BBQ, poor service, won't be back, nor will I have anymore company functions thru them.

Our first visit, and the BBQ was as good as or better than anything I've had in this area. The fried okra (they fry the entire plant, not just pieces) is delicious. We went back for seconds. Will definitely return.

The owner lived next door to my grandparents in Perry OK for many years and built a reputation in small town America as a real BBQ master. Some thing in the restaurant aren't as fresh as they could be but I have never ordered anything here and been sorry I eat it. The slaw is a spicy Cajun style and some people do not care for it, I think its just ok. The fry's and sweet potato fry's are awesome and house made. BBQ Beans are the best I have ever had. The okra is unique and delicious. Burnt ends are my new favorite food!

We eat here weekly and everything is yummy! Love the brisket and sausage and the stuffed bakers. Bread pudding is yummy too! We love calling in and picking up from the to go side. They are always friendly, and they get the order right every time! Corie is awesome. Watch out for the loco sauce! It will getcha!

The bologna and baked bean were good. The rest of the meat was okay. It was all boiled bags of meat. I don't feel this was is BBQ. I want smoked meat not a boiled bag of meat. I will not go back. At 7:45 the place had pretty much 3 tables. BUT I will say they were very sweet about my husbands service dog.

Burnt ends sandwich is really good. I haven't tried their pulled pork, but I'm just going to assume it's also good, and if it isn't just douse it in spicy barbecue sauce and everything will taste better:-) their beans are good too, the loaded potato is awesome. Mmmm...

Met some friends here for lunch yesterday. I had the brisket, my wife had the pulled pork. My friends had a variety - ribs, brisket, etc. The meat was outstanding. The service was impeccable. Everyone was incredibly friendly and customer-focused. The manager went out of his way to talk with every customer to make sure they were happy. My only dislike was their fries - too much seasoning for my taste, but I know there are folks out there who really like 'em, so I'm not going to let that take away from the awesomeness of the restaurant.

I ate a lot of BBQ as a kid, stopped eating it for years b/c I am not a pork eater. I am warming up to the idea of eating more BBQ, which delights my husband, but I am still not eating pork. Yep, that means I am anti-bacon and that means i'm weird I suppose. ;) The items I have tried here (the 'open face lean and mean' turkey sandwich, and the chicken breast sandwich) have both been very good. If you get there during a shift change, much like any restaurant, you're in for a bit of a wait....even if you're the only customer there. Guess it'll just make you appreciate your food even more by the time you get it lol. They added burnt ends to the menu permanently, so my husband can get his signature sandwich all the time - this sandwich blows the employees' minds every time he orders it: order a burnt ends sandwich, carolina style. They will think you are a genius! And get back on here and thank me for the inside info.

A nice little joint in BA which consistently delivers delicious, and flavorful BBQ. In my book, the "must try" items are Smoked Chicken Dinner, Ribs, and Burned Ends. All meats deliver plenty of smoky flavor, perfectly-seasoned and juicy enough to make you come back for more. I'm not a big fan of sandwiches, but based on what I've seen so far those are very popular here. The standard side items are Spicy Slaw, BBQ beans, Potato salad, fries and other fried goods. A Smoked White Chicken Chili is as good as a white chili can get. I've never experienced a single major issue that would prevent me from coming back.

A fun little spot in BA my friends took me to when I was in town visiting. I'm a Texan and tend to be most apt to receive Texas-style BBQ. Furthermore, I've been a resident of BBQ-poor NYC for six years....so even half-ass BBQ is good to me. - Extensive menu with something for everyone, including a smoked turkey salad (with lots of leafy greens) that looked decent - Loaded baked potatoes that are plenty big for two small eaters, but that lack a bit of strategy (note to the cooks - break open the potato more so the butter and toppings touch more of the meat of the potato) - The burnt ends bumped by ratings down a bit. They're big chunks, so they're not much "ends" and there's not much "burnt". I ordered these on my baked potato and was really looking forward to them.... Like the casual set up of ordering in line and then sitting down to do your own thing (which makes it good for big groups and folks with kids).

Definitely the best Bar B Q in this part of the country, the burnt ends are worth making the trip. Best tea in Oklahoma ! Closest to Carolina tea that I've had.

I AM a vegetarian, so that's the way this review has to go. I LOVE my barbeque. A lot of people say how can one love bbq when they are a vegetarian? Well, the sauce and the smokey goodness of the over flame cooking is good for a lot of things, not just meat. Ok? So here's the problem: as vegetarians our main source of protein is often in the beans. My advice to Oklahoma Joe: make a batch of non-meat beans. Your vegetarian friends will love you for that, and you'll have a whole bunch more customers, because believe it or not, our numbers are growing.

Pretty good!!! Good ribs, and pulled pork!!! I would go back many times, and will continue to, and will always get some pulled pork and ribs, those are the specials here..... Getcha some!!!

Fast service, great food. Burnt ends were extra good! Pricing ok. Beans ok but those sweet potato fries were amazing! Okra in large pieces and really good! Large portions and great service. Will be back when we are back in town.

By far the best barbecue you will ever eat! We always get the ribs and they just fall off of the bone. We never pass up the chance to eat here when in the area. The kids love the fries and the fried okra is always tender and delicious. The staff is always friendly. We have been here many times and have never experienced less than the best each time.

I had their food to-go. The ribs fall of the bone, they are sooo flavorful, not dry at all. Those fries i have no idea how they season them but I couldn't stop eating them. My boyfriends mom got dipping sauces for the ribs. She was awesome and got the hot dipping sauces. Sauce was spicy & sweet at the same time. Potato salad was good, nothing fancy. Also baked beans or so I think, too sweet for my taste but not bad at all. The other side was corn, I didn't get to try it, because I was stuffed. I'm looking forward to eating from this place again.

Oklahoma Joe's is my favourite place for BBQ in Tulsa! Since I grew up in Boston and now live in Scotland, I am always excited to have good BBQ when coming to Tulsa, and I always ask to go to Oklahoma Joe's every time I'm here. I love splitting the Grand Champion Platter so that I can have a bit of many different types of meat (the brisket is particularly good, as is the pulled pork!). The burnt ends platter is also fabulous! This place obviously has good BBQ sauce, but its tender and tasty meat is what really makes it stand out from other BBQ places in the area. The prices are good and the staff are friendly and efficient in moving people through with peak lunchtime crowds. The only improvement I'd suggest would be having a few more low-sugar, diabetic-friendly options on the menu. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Tulsa!

I was as eager as a 6 year old on Christmas Morning, to eat here. Eyes wide and giddy with excitement I entered the restaurant. What I found under the tree didn't make me shout out with glee. Cold sides that they charged me for, brisket plopped on my plate out of Saran Wrap. Shame on you Oklahoma Joes. Warmed over meat has ruined my Christmas. I really wish you were New Hampshire Joes.

8/10 atmosphere 8/10 service 7/10 food 5/10 price Nice location, can't beat next to bass pro shop. Inside looks okay. Service was just fine, no complaints. Good BBQ but nothing that really sets it a part... Maybe a step or two above rib crib (though the rib tips are good). Wasn't impressed with the price. Seems a little much compared to other BBQ joints of similar taste.

Came here for lunch while Christmas shopping although they were busy, the line (you order in the back at the counter) moved at a steady pace. My wife got pulled pork sandwich as did my daughter, I got the z-man brisket sandwich. It is good BBQ, the hot BBQ imho has the perfect amount of kick. The slaw is interesting and certainly worth a try. We're gonna make this a regular stop when we go to the city. It's usually "where do you want to eat, i don't know where do you want to eat" for a while before we decide. This is in the area where we shop, off of the BA expressway by the Bass Pro Shop take the Elm St exit.

I went to an Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City, but don't recall additional restaurants in Oklahoma. It seems Oklahoma Joe's started as a partnership between Joe Davidson and Jeff Stehney. I'm not sure what their partnership status is now, but the KC locations are run by Stehney and Tulsa establishments are separately run by Davidson. The Broken Arrow store is not in a gas station like in KC. You'd think the place NOT in a gas station would be better, but I liked KC more. The food comes very fast at Broken Arrow, but the location is not ridiculously busy as KC. The beef brisket sandwich was oak-smoked (but not overly oaky like in KC) with a nice color ring, but the meat was firm to stiff. It was served with just a bit of BBQ sauce, but I added more to improve the flavor and increase the moisture. Like KC, they use a round bun instead of boring sliced white bread. The fried okra was okey dokey. (Do Okies ever say okie dokey?) I liked everything about the okra except it was too salty. The okra had a nice firm texture like a thick pepper and the cornmeal coating was even and crunchy. For those who don't like the slime commonly found in okra, there wasn't any.

I love ... BBQ so good, you combo-up to be sure to take home some left-overs. Best ribs in OK, hands down. The famous beans are so good that :::anecdote::: whenever there's leftovers, I routinely bring even half of the side order cup home. Not overpriced. Compared to other establishments (i.e., Elmer's) there's good value here. If you're wanting a normal meal, a sandwich will do the trick. If you're ready to eat like you're wearing an orange jumpsuit, headed for your last meal, you can do a lot of damage with a rib + 1 meat combo (12.99) that includes 2 sides (fries & rings are HUGE). Wife and I can easily share a 2-meat combo most times. Hint: line subdues for dinnertime. Check em out. If you like bbq, you deserve it.

Total Mixed Bag. Ribs: excellent. Beans: excellent. Smoked chicken: moist but not in the least bit smoky. Toast: awful, not even warm let alone toasted. Coleslaw: awful, how do you screw up slaw??? For the record, we also find OK Joes' ribs wildly inconsistent, great here but so not special when we tried them in KC that we said we'd not come back again.

I was pleased to find a good contender with Billy Sims BBQ...not that I was looking for a contender. I love Billy Sims! But now I love Oklahoma Joe's too. AND, I don't need to be embarrassed to tell my northern family of Husker fans where love to eat BBQ. So far I've only been able to try their pulled pork sandwich, but it was a winner. I took my vegetarian family there, and they also were satisfied with huge baked potatoes. I look forward to trying the ribs and brisket next.

We had the 1/2 rack of ribs dinner. The ribs were meaty and tender. Personally I could have used more smoke but other than that they were good. The spicy slaw was good as well and the baked beans has meat in it as others have stated. Good clean restaurant next to the Cains ballroom. Good BBQ experience.

Disgusting. Please do not waste your hard earned dollars on a place such as this. The food is average anywhere BBQ. Nothing special. I was there in the dining room when people who are non believers were having a meeting/fundraiser.... And asked to leave....Horrible display of business ethics and values. Shame on you. Your business will suffer.....not practicing what you preach ;) It's 2013! I didn't look closely but there was probably a " white section" and a "black section" and a sign for homosexuals to sit outside. Waste of money. Waste of time. Shame on you.

I would not recommend going to such an overpriced and over rated place. It's obvious that whoever is running the place has a big ego when you look around at all the obnoxious awards. My friends also had the poops after our visit.

Sides are too expensive, end of story! Onion rings are $5...seriously? They are good but not that good. Not meal oriented, its ala carte' Music is annoying unless you like country. Attentive to customers, lots of friendly banter and making customers feel good! The things I liked are the Z-Man made with burnt ends...holy shit that was good!

My wife and I visited this location despite some less than stellar reviews on urbanspoon...I'm glad we decided to form our own opinion! We went on a Saturday, and there was a bit of a line, but that's a good thing folks! It means people like the food, so it's worth waiting in line for. I got the burnt ends on a sandwich. (FYI Burnt Ends are only available on Wednesdays and Saturdays). The BBQ was the best I've ever had! It was tender, flavorful and the portion was huge! We also ordered a side of fries, which we didn't need, but they were also delicious. Everything is done in house here except the potato salad. Check them out! You'll be glad you did!

Not BAD but don't get why people think it is AMAZING. Tried it based on an advertised relationship with the well known one in KC, but apparently the two are not related at all. The owner was a part of starting the one in KC but completely sold his interest years ago before even thinking of doing this one.

Recommended by a friend. What a great place. Conveniently located and obviously a favorite for many. I tried the burnt ends which I didn't actually know what that meant. They were great but not what I expected. I wish I had tried a pulled meat. I will be back for another choice

I have done barbecue in Memphis, Kansas City, Texas & Oklahoma & this is one of my all time favorite places! The Z man is one of the best, but trying the Barn Z sent my taste buds into awesome land! Joe started something great in Stillwater, & has just improved! Love it!

MEAAAAT So much meat here. I was down south, and I just had to get some Q. Of course I ordered the whole friggin platter with everything from fried balogna (really?) to burnt ends. By the end I felt like I was pregnant with a food baby. I certainly was happy though. Thanks OK JOES.

The people flaming on the owners of Oklahoma Joe's regarding a cancelled fundraising "event" make me sick. Those individuals' facts are wrong, their self-righteous attitudes are loathsome, and their tactic of bullying via Yelp reminds me of something from middle school. FACT: The "fund-raiser" consisted of JOE donating back 10% of the costs of meals to be bought that evening by customers who identified themselves as patrons of the recipient. It was not a special event in which the organization had rented the restuarant or put any appreciable effort into the event. It occurred on a night when the restaurant was open for regular business. When Joe realized that HE would be in essence donating a portion of HIS profits to an organization whose beliefs he doesn't support, he exercised his freedom to not continue providing his financial support. He did not kick anyone out or refuse to serve anyone because of their beleifs. He merely cancelled the agreement to provide HIS money to the organization. FACT: When he made the decision to end participation, he had sold approximately $40.00 worth of BBQ to supporters of the event. He did in fact go ahead and provide to the organization the 10% promised from those sales. FACT: The owners of Oklahoma Joe's are generous and caring people. They would not ever stoop to the kind of behavior being employed by those attacking them. FACT: I have eaten at Oklahoma Joe's BBQ several times and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food everytime. I ate there before this flap, I will eat there after it, and I will continue to recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality BBQ in pleasant surroundings.

Format is cafeteria style which to me is not conducive to barbecue, service however was efficient. The food was average at best, cole slaw was spicy, really ? Beans were good, ribs and sausage were bland and rubbery, meat appeared to be precooked and served from plastic bags. Ribs were served on a stale heel of a loaf of bread, really? sauce was OK, seemed to be sweeter version of Head Country. People of Broken Arrow seem to be supporting because it's the "latest and greatest" if you want to try this restaurant I would get there quickly, my guess is it will me shut down in 6 months like it's predecessor. All this combined with small portions an high prices, left me no choice but to give this restaurant 1 star

Oh man, this place is pretty good. Being a city slicker from the east coast, I was a little confused when I walked in, but quickly got my bearings. The staff behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Ended up with the ribs and burnt ends. DE-licious. Coupled with a coors banquet, I was a happy camper. Everything tasted great, felt authentic to me. Will recommend.

One of my new favorite bbq spots. I got the stuffed chicken potato. I havent been able to find one just like back home til i came here. It was amazing. The only thing that was missing was the white bbq sauce. Hubs got the burnt ends sandwich. Very good. The cowboy beans were also amazing! We took home some pulled pork and brisket. There was nothing from here that wasnt just outstanding.

Not sure how you can give this place 1 or 2 stars and be expected to have any credibility as human..... Best BBQ in this area. This is just as good as the original. enough said.

I am only giving this place a star because you cannot do "no stars." Besides the greasiness, the after effects of stomach cramps, diarrhea and hugging the toilet bowl just was the frosting on the cake. And the absolute WORST customer service EVER!!!!! DON'T GO!!!!!

I love the BBQ - it's very good, especially the beans. The problem though is their ordering system. It's terrible. You stand in line for a long time, then order, then you stand there at the counter until the people who ordered before you get their orders and then pay. Unfortunately, if your order is finished before the people's in front of you, yours sits there getting cold until the people in front of you get through. There are any number of things they could do to improve this, until they do - I'll make this my second choice for BBQ, not first.

I'm no BBQ connisour but champion plate for 2 for 20 bucks? Its as good as it gets. My favorite were the ribs, the brisket and the baloney. My experience with baloney was thinly slicked rubbery stuff from the school cafeteria, but it this was firm, goodness. It's like a hot dog. The sauce omg, for me it started off sweet and the kick slowly crackled its way down the back of my throat. The ribs were the best, it was tender, smokey with this crust on the top to die for. Washed all that down with a cold ale, it was the dinner highlight of my vist to Tulsa. Saw Oklahoma Joe walking around and he gave us the back story to the various pictures hanging around his joint. I have to agree with bordain this is a place you should try before you die.

I have been to the location in KC as it's one of the most famous BBQ's in KC. This location shouldn't go by the same name cause it's not as good. I had ribs, chopped brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends, beans, onion rings, and cole slaw. The burnt ends, ribs, and beans were exceptional but the pork and brisket were dried out and lacked flavor. The beans were good but the slaw and onion rings were average. A bit on the pricey side for what you get with the sides but overall a good BBQ restaurant. I'll be back, it's just not up to par with KC even though Joe himself is supposedly running this one...

Best BBQ I've ever had. And I've had tons. The burnt ends were so savory, chewy and delicious. The fried okra is actually whole fried okra and yummy. Please try this place.

Best BBQ in Broken Arrow! I love all of their meats, my husband and I usually split the sampler platter. Their baked beans are a special recipe, and awesome as well. The baked beans recipe actually is that of a local liquor store owner in Broken Arrow who made the news with his recipe. The smokers that Oklahoma Joe used to sell are custom made, and we used to have a professor who had one and it made the best smoked Brats. I don't think they sell the smokers anymore, but it is great BBQ.

some of the best BBQ i've ever had. I usually order the pulled pork sandwich (the house specialty) because it's amazing. the fries are delicious as well. I have never personally had the burnt ends, but i've been told that they are phenomenal! also: my last experience there wasn't the best ever, but that's because I made the mistake of order the "Barbecoulossal" which is a large bun with 1lb of 4 different meats. I ordered it with pulled pork, brisket, bbq turkey, and a hotlink.... It was the most delicious artery clogging sandwich ever. until i got to the 2nd half of it. then it was the most awful thing ever. i was just tooooooo full. I love this joint, but after eating that sandwich... It will be a few weeks before i get the guts to go back! haha. I ate enough BBQ that day to last me a month! If you're looking for good BBQ in the tulsa area, You definitely need to put OK Joes at the top of your list.

Evidently I set my expectations way too high. I really want to like this place more. It was OK. I prefer ribs with a little more "chew" to them. I hope that these weren't boiled at any time. Although, they did have a nice smoke ring. The pulled pork had a decent flavor to it. The spicy slaw was decent, but the spice seemed to take away from the flavor. My favorite dish was the potato salad. A very tasty side that I would definitely order again.

Visited here with a couple of friends. The Ribs, brisket, and beans were great as several other revieweres here have attested to. I was disappointed in the hot links. They were more like hot dogs than anything. I would definitely go back to here for great BBQ.

Love the ribs. BBQ sauce is sweet, then there's the spicy on the table. Sweet tea was just how we Okies like it too. After we had the baked beans, we bought a quart to take home. They were that good. I have to say I enjoyed the old country swing music playing. Better than this new bubblegum crap country everyone is listening to nowdays. Also a good location next to Bass Pro. We'll be back!

Lots of good BBQ, but this isn't it.

The sausage was terrible and the brisket was pre-sliced and just sitting in a warming tray. Hardly worth the trouble for cafeteria style food. I didn't like it at all. Other people in my party said the ribs were pretty good and loved the fries, not that a bbq place is judged on its sides.

So I lived in KC for 6 years and was a HUGE fan there. There are a couple of things about the BA location that you should know. First, there is no creamy slaw. I have always preferred the spicy slaw myself, but this was a downer for the wife. Second, like another reviewer said, they seem to scrimp on the seasoning for the fries. Other than that, it's true OK Joe's BBQ. IMHO it is some of the best BBQ you can find anywhere, even in KC. If you go, be sure and try the pulled pork. It is some of the best in the nation.

I really wanted to love this bbq. I have eaten at the one in KC and it is literally the best bbq I have ever eaten. The food at this location was fair at best. The brisket was pre sliced and looked like cafeteria style food. The burnt ends were better but still were not great. I will likely give it one my try because I want to like it.

I really wanted to love this place! I love both KC locations as it has been my favorite restaurant for years. At the BA location, I ordered the Z- Man sandwich, fries, and an iced tea. Overpriced at $12.38. The sandwich didn't have enough brisket on it, as I took several bites that were just bun. The brisket had a good flavor, but was a little tough. They also oiled and toasted the inside of the bun, which I really do not prefer because of the oily crunch that comes with it. The fries at Oklahoma Joes in Kansas City may be the best in the city, but the same can't be said for this location. They use frozen fries with salt, with little if any of the magical seasoning that covers the fresh fries at the original location. I was most disappointed with the fries. My brother-in-law told me that he was disappointed with this place last week, but I didn't want to believe it and had to try it for myself. Unfortunately, he was right on. It's not the same at all!

Moved to the BA area about 6 years ago and have been told about the legendary Oklahoma Joes from many Oklahomans that this was the end all to be all BBQ joints. So when I recently heard that the original would be opening up, I was eager to try. I arrived to only be greeted by a long line that was out the door. Ok excellent sign that the food is good and worth the wait! OK Joe's now sits in what used to be Runts BBQ (horrible food) and a failed attempt ( only open for a month) sport bar. So upon arrival with my family I was happy to see that BA has a new place that was packed. The line moved at a decent pace, which did take over all to reach the order counter close to about 30 minutes. While in line I heard many speak of high praise of the OK Joe's that they grew up on in Stillwater. The entire time while in line with the family, Joe was pressing the flesh himself with everyone in line. Cool, a true professional and friendly person who takes pride in his place. After passing thru the door you will notice a sign that states "25 minute wait from this point" which was pretty true. To pass the time Joe does have flat screens all over the place. Or better yet chat it up with Joe. Ok here is What we ordered: Wife order 3 rib combo and a choice of 1 side meat. She choose the brisket. It comes with 2 big slices of Texas Toast and a choice of either potato salad, BBQ beans or spicy slaw. She went with the a beans. Cost $12.50. Daughter chose the Large pulled pork sandwich which was over flowing with pork. Cost $6.50 and worth every penny. I had the 2 meat combo with pulled pork and sausage. One side came with mine as well and I went with the beans. Cost $10.50. 1st up the pulled pork, moist chucks of tender pork that you would expect to taste good after being smoked. No harsh smoke taste here. it did need some sauce to go with it. The brisket was slice thin and had a nice smoke ring around it and with not fat to be found on it. My wife liked this, however fat does add flavor. The brisket was moist as well, which is a major plus!!!! nice job Joe.The portion size was 5 decent slices. The Ribs where Killer!!! joe hit a home run here. Nice crust or bark on the outside and a slightly sweet taste to it. Meat does not fall of the bone, it pulls away with just a little bit of effort. This is done to perfection. No Sauce is needed at all. The sausage was ok and lacked a little flavor in my book. nice portion size of one sliced link. The beans are different in a good way. 3 different types of beans that include some nice chucks of the brisket along with Sliced jalapeños that where not at all over spicy, just enough heat which is balanced overall with a sweet sauce. On the table you will find a mild sweet sauce which is decent and a hot sauce which contained a good helping of black pepper. With 3 drinks, (tea and soda) bill ran $40 bucks. The portion sizes are good, you will not walk away hungry. Joe does have a side door for to go orders which is great! All and All the Q is good, no overbearing smoke taste which is a plus. Joe does a nice job of making you feel welcomed. Wed and Sat they do sell burnt ends and on Sunday is Test Kitchen day when they offer something special like BBQ meatloaf or fish. The food here is good with a few great highlights worth trying. If you are looking for a true BBQ restaurant in BA give Joe a try! Ribs, Brisket and Beans are worth the wait.
